FAD Fishing season predominately runs April- September. Don’t be surprised to see double digit blue marlin raises while overnighting aboard the boat out at sea.
Said to be released year-round, but they peak between May- July and tend to be further out than sailfish.
Second only to Guatemala, there are an abundance of sailfish off of Quepos from December-April averaging 120-220lbs, although you can catch them year-round. Looking for consistent double digit sailfish releases, then Casa Vieja Lodge- Guatemala is a must.
The delicious hard-fought tuna can be found year-round and can range from 30-200 lbs.
